I thought of posting some lyrics to share with you all, but then I had the idea of starting a new thread where we could post some music... right now I can't take Faith No More out off my head, so here you have a little bit of sunday's concert

AWESOME!!!! THANKS!!!!!! Looks like you've been to one HELL of a concert!! ;D They're playing 'From out of Nowhere' like never before! 'Reunited', haha... that's clasic FaithNoMore humour. Very apt song to cover as well. I saw FaithNoMore a few times back in the day... but I've had to miss their reunion tour because they were only doing the big expensive festivals here in Europe, right in the period when Cis and I were on vacation. We caught The Jesus Lizard on their reunion tour though! I shot some vids. I'll upload them to my YouTube account one of these days and share them with you here in this -already awesome- thread. ;D

Well, I went to another concert on Saturday, Manu chao and the Radio Bemba. These guys give the most energetic shows I've ever seen, they are just awesome.
I couldn't find any vids of their performance the other day, but I thought I'd share a few videos with you anyway (they are much more powerful live, but I like them in the records as well, hehe)

Ok... I've been sort of away for a while, some family issues and other crap... but luckily all that seems to be behind me now and I'm back to annoy you as usual Anyway... I just got some great news the other day. 3 of my favourite bands of all times are finally coming to play here. I already got my tickets, but I can barely get a hold of myself while I wait... so here I give you a preview: PS: I hope you have a great time on your vacation, Jos. And I hope you come back inspired to write some more of that story I'm enjoying so much, my friend

Wow, Pixies! I missed them on their reunion tour. And RatM? Are they back together? I saw them several times back in the day... they're awesome. They played a big festival here in The Netherlands, and in the news they said that during Rage's set they recorded seismal activity... I'm not sure how much it was on the Richter scale, but it was caused by approximately 100.000 people jumping in unison to 'Bullet in the Head'. ;D It's quite something because in our small country we never get any earthquakes. Never been much of a QOTSA fan, Ciss likes them though. Thanks for the encouragement Hyde, and welcome back! ;D You picked some great songs for illustration!

Alright, while we're sharing music I'd like to introduce you to this Spanish band (or maybe you already know them):
Nueva Vulcano.
We saw them a few years back when they were touring in Holland. Awesome band, too bad I can't clearly understand the lyrics. I guess I'll have to Google them sometime.
Anyway, it's not really a clip, it's just the song I'd like you to hear.
And if you want something more interesting to look at, check out the live clip (although it's much less audible):
This is another awesome song:

Ok, I'm all excited about a really eventfull week we had around here so I thought I'd come and share a little with you guys. Interestingly I just realized that I never replied to your last couple of posts Jos... I guess you left them around the time when I lost the forums address So, first things first As for RATM, it was a really nice show but to be honest it left me a bitter sweet taste... the band sounded just like in the records and the whole sound was awesome, I really can't complain about anything in that matter. The thing I didn't like is I was left with the impression that their whole political position was a little "worked", Zack made a few lame comments about some local political events, really out of place... sounded like he had no idea what he was talking about. They also made a big fuss about a VIP section in the show, claiming that they were against it. It was absolutely ridiculous cuz the so called VIP section was just an area close to the stage (taking around half the stage's length) that costed around 20% more than the general tickets and it was aimed to the fans who wanted to be close to the band but not in the mosh and all that. I know because most of my friends went there, it wasn't an actual VIP area with rich people eating sushi and drinking champagne or anything. Anyway, they started instigating people to break the fences which is just insane in my opinion, in fact it got really messy for a while, the whole thing could've gone to hell. If they were so outraged about having a VIP area in the show they could've arranged it beforehand, but no... they went for the bucks and bitched about it on stage. Anyway, the show was good, the music was great, but their whole attitude seemed worked to me... which in a band like that kinda relativizes the whole thing. I was really disappointed, I really never saw them as posers until that night. I never heard of Nueva Vulcano before... nice! We don't hear a lot of spanish bands around here idk why, maybe it's because it's a little difficult to get past the way they talk in a rock context sometimes But I really like this band, I'm going to look into it, thanks for the tip! And now after speaking way too much when I just came to post a few videos, I think I better get to business Last saturday Sonic Youth played for the 2nd time here and I haeerd Thurston and Kim got divorced so this time I wasn't going to miss them, just in case it was my last chance. It was amazing! ;D On tuesday I went to see Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. I just love that band and they played in a really little place so it was incredible, one of THE best concerts I've ever been to. Here's the link to the first youtube video of a series of 15 covering that show in HD, idk if you like BRMC, if you do then you should definitely watch all 15 ;D Finally this saturday I went to a concert of "Kyuss Lives!", I really missed Josh Homme on guitar and I would've liked to see Scott Reeder instead of Nick Oliveri, but they were awesome anyways, especially John Garcia and Brant Bjork, I never thought I'd see them here in Argentina. Yeah, I like QotSA a lot, but I LOVE Kyuss and this is as close as it gets to the band from the old days. It was great ;D (quality sucks in this one, but still...) Well... all in all, awesome week! ;D I'm done now

Wow, lucky you! I love when I have several awesome concerts in a row. Doesn't happen all too often.
I never really got into Kyuss... is this some kind of tribute band? (Sorry, I have no idea)
BRMC I am not familiar with... the singer sounds a little like Bono to me.
Sonic Youth is going to split up after this tour I think. Although I could see them replacing Kim with Jim O'Rourke, they probably won't, out of respect for Kim. Thurston's going to keep making music anyway, with or without Sonic. Good thing you caught them!
About Rage; I can see why they're against this VIP area idea. Even though it's not a real VIP area, the idea is that you're charging people extra for the best places, and the people with a cheaper ticket are forced to watch from a distance. That's not very rock 'n roll in my opinion, and I would have issues with that too. But you're absolutely right, they shouldn't be bitching about that on stage... I mean they could, but they should have addressed that issue with the organization beforehand.
Inciting people to take down the fences is just downright irresponsible. Too many people have died at concerts. Remember Pearl Jam's set at Roskilde way back? What a morons.
I've always found Zack a little incoherent on stage. But it is an awesome live band nonetheless.
