I can't believe I haven't posted this here.
GlowSaberX is a lightsaber graphic mod, which well, is similar to GlowSaber >.<
The point of GlowSaberX in specific is to keep the Jedi Knight gameplay while simply updating it's graphics, so that it may be used with JKE to recreate the experience, rather than change it.
That doesn't mean it won't be integrated into other mods (, I'm hinting at something ye old SBX players ).
Anyway, features:
- Underwater lightsaber bubbling, complete with sprites and sounds.
- Lightsaber wall marks (currently disabled until further notice - can be re-enabled at the cost of Checksum. )
- New glowing lightsabers that very accurately resemble the films (not to brag, but I do believe they are the most accurate to date.)
- Lightsaber motion trails (duh).
- In menu lightsaber color selection, just like the original Jedi Knight (Thanks to ZeqMacaw for providing the backbone to this feature).
- Lightsaber toggle by selecting the saber again (like Jedi Outcast).
- Smooth lightsaber on-off transition.
- Original JK gameplay
Future features that will hopefully be added:
- Fixed clipping issues with glowing lightsabers against translucent surfaces (a known JK bug that has plagued many saber mods.)
- Bug-free lightsaber wall marks.
Notes: The JK version lacks the lightsaber block animations.
Installation (JK): Place the new JK.exe and JK.dll files in your Jedi Knight directory and place GSX in a mod folder (or Patch Commander) WITH JKE (it will conflict in Patch Commander. You will have to manually place them together.)
Installation (MotS): Place the mod in Patch Commander or your mod folder and run the game.
