In keeping with the highest tradition of Valentines Day bashing, I offer this quote, from Jim Carry... but for the life of me I don't know what movie it's from. All I know is I never saw it.
"Valentines day is a holiday invented by greeting card companies to make people feel like crap."
And now for the other random quotes I feel like posting today!
"Nice thing about egotists; they dont talk about other people."
"Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats."
HK-47: "Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope."
"A Purple Heart just proves that you were smart enough to think of a plan, stupid enough to try it, and lucky enough to survive."
"We cannot control the evil tongues of others; but a good life enables us to disregard them." Cato the Elder
"I would much rather have men ask why I have no statue, than why I have one." - Cato the Elder
"Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is." ---- German Proverb
"If at first you dont succeed then skydiving is not for you."
"To believe in fate is to believe that no matter how hard you try you're always doomed for failure or success and frankly, I'm not one to blindly follow stupidity."
Lastly!(for now) "I used to be indecisive now I'm not so sure."

Hmm, now there's an idea. I've heard a million quotes that I like, but I can never remember them for more than a few days after hearing them

A lot of my quotes are from random browsing. Wikipedia, other peoples pages, or actually googling quotes. Like I said, everything that I liked I copied down to a txt file. Sometimes I go through it to delete shtuff that I realize just sounds completely stupid, even though I copied it down and thought it was the coolest thing ever at the time.
15 quotes that 'just struck me' as I was going though my 'quote box'.
"I think there are a few hundred Jedi proverbs about patience… though they all elude me just this moment."
"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep." Scott Adams
"Murphy's law: Anything that can happen will happen Brian's law: Anything that can't happen will happen anyway" - Dad, commenting on my brothers bad luck
"Before you insult someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.... so when you insult them, you'll be a mile away - with their shoes."
"People are like slinkies. They are absolutely useless, but it's still fun to watch them tumble down the stairs."
So! I got through half my quotes, then came across a series of Mark Twain quotes. So I'll finish up the last 10 with a Mark Twain string:
"When angry, count to four; when very angry, swear."
"There is no distinctly American criminal class - except Congress."
"The rule is perfect: in all matters of opinion our adversaries are insane."
"The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year."
"Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow."
"My books are like water; those of the great geniuses are wine. (Fortunately) everybody drinks water."
"It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."
"Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first."
"Civilization is the limitless multiplication of unnecessary necessities."
AND last but not least! "All generalizations are false, including this one."
--- Mark Twain

I think I'm going to have to borrow your idea, Hawke Excellent quotes, by the way. I especially like this one: Personally, I know a few people who would benefit from hearing that one lol

lmao... Those are all genius! ;D ;D ;D "I think there are a few hundred Jedi proverbs about patience… though they all elude me just this moment." Hahaha, I thought this quote was actually yours. For some reason. "Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep." Scott Adams TRUTH! This is how I make music. I basically screw around randomly until I'm doing something really cool. The trick is to analyze what you're doing and being able to reduplicate the good parts later. "Murphy's law: Anything that can happen will happen Brian's law: Anything that can't happen will happen anyway" - Dad, commenting on my brothers bad luck lmfao

Wookieepedia has a Quote of the Day section, which they've archived all the way back to their first QOTD. Some of my favorite SW quotes are on that page, including these: "Sithspit! What's that?" "That's the sun, Wedge. It's after dawn." "Well, it offends me. Turn it off."- Wedge Antilles and Wes Janson, X-wing: Starfighters of Adumar"Go down without a fight, Lieutenant Needa? One proton torpedo and we go down without even a whimper. I'll take two." "You want us hit with two?" "No, I want two more cards. Of proton torpedoes I want zero."- Cadet Pedetsen and Lieutenant Virar Needa, X-wing: Wedge's Gamble"Kenobi. Don't tell me, let me guess: this is the part where you give me the chance to surrender." "It can be. Or, if you like, it can be the part where I dismantle your exoskeleton and ship you back to Coruscant in a cargo hopper."- General Grievous and Obi-wan Kenobi, Revenge of the Sith novelization "It was my one failure, out on the Fringes. The one time when understanding a race's art gave me no insight at all into its psyche. At least not at the time. Now, I believe I'm finally beginning to understand them." "I'm sure that will prove useful in the future." "I doubt it. I wound up destroying their world."- Grand Admiral Thrawn and Captain Gilad Pellaeon, Heir to the Empire"Sometimes swirling Force is just swirling Force. It gets all us old Jedi excited at our age so we go 'Oooo, destiny!'"- Jolee Bindo, Knights of the Old Republic

rofl! I love the one from Jolee Bindo! Thats awesome. Gonna have to go looking for some good SW quotes now 5 things people just don't think of: 5 - "What was the greatest thing BEFORE sliced bread?" 4 - "Show me a man with both feet planted firmly on the ground and I'll show you a man who cant get his pants off." 3 - "A flashlight is a case for holding dead batteries." 2 - "How can there be 'self-help' groups?" 1 - "Is there another word for thesaurus?"

Now there's a question. I wonder...?

yup this cracks me up to the point i cant breath everytime i hear it:
HK-47: "Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope."
Kristoffer Tabori pwnz, as i do enjoy an ironically morbid analogy of something thats supposed to be nice. Ah, droid humor!
