WARNING: THIS TOPIC MAY PROVIDE SPOILERS.
So, who's following the TV series?
Favourite episodes?
And what do you all think?
I personally love the series, and even though it has its tiny weaknesses here and there, I think it's ten times better than the old Clone Wars series.

I haven't seen the series yet, because I don't have cable (for that matter, I can't even get a decent signal most of the time) and my Internet connection isn't up to playing large video files However, I have been able to glean some information from sources like Wookieepedia. It sounds interesting, and I'm looking forward to a DVD release

Well, some episodes were really cool. In fact some 'story arcs' (2 or 3 stand-alone episodes which are part of the same story) were better than the movie.
The coolest thing about it is getting to see and hear all those other Jedi starring in their own episodes, like Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, Luminara Unduli, Aayla Secura.
Getting to see them in action, learning how their characters are, and their unique fighting styles. Some of the episodes are really well written, but since every episode is written by a different writer, it's not always on the same level of quality. The action is always great though.
What's (a little bit) confusing is that the episodes aren't necessarily aired in chronological order. (Except for multiple episode story-arcs, they air these in order of course). They also didn't produce the stories in chronological order.
There is an overall continuity though (although not a lot, since all the stories are more or less stand alone themes / settings), and we can only hope the episodes on the DVD will be in the proper order.

I think last week they've released the 1st episode of the series, but they show it translated, which I hate... so I'm not watching it like that... Even the movie was shown translated in most theaters, so I haven't seen that either... Now I think about it, the DVD should be around already. Once I find the movie I guess I'll look for the series somewhere on the internet, or wait until they release it on DVD...

Yeah, I know your problem... over here it's only airing on digital TV, which I don't have. It's cheap to get, but they're airing the Dutch dubbed versions, and I really can't watch it like that. It's just too weird to hear all these characters speaking Dutch, with voices that are way off, and BAD voice acting. No thanks. Sometimes when I pop in one of my Star Wars DVDs I forget to set the language to English, and for some stupid reason, all Star Wars DVDs made for the EU area are in default in French. (Except for the English of course, they get their own fancy little UK versions ) So, my main menu is also in French. NOBODY in Europe wants that! Except for the French, of course. Some time ago I was on a French forum where French SW fans were talking about how they couldn't stand to watch Star Wars in English, because the voices sounded all wrong. Bwaha. Anyway, I can't even change the language of the DVD menu. So yeah, I select a scene and before I know it I find myself totally crapping my pants hearing the French version of Yoda or Vader. It sounds SOOOOOOOOOO BAAAAAAAAAAD, it's hilarious. ;D It's also extremely annoying, especially in Dutch. So yeah, back to The Clone Wars; I just download the HDTV episodes using a P2P program. Of course I'll be buying the DVD when it comes out. I already bought the movie DVD, but unlike the DVD releases of the Prequels, we don't get all the fancy releases for The Clone Wars as the US does. So, no 2-disc special editions, certainly not in a nice metal case with a Clone Trooper etched into it 3D. No, just the vanilla movie, with NO extras whatsoever. No deleted scenes, no making of, no season 1 previews, nada. The box of my DVD lists the Audio Commentary as 'Extra Feature'. Well, you get the idea. Yay Warner Bros. Of course I could buy a US version off E-Bay or something, but the area code would be wrong, so I would only be able to watch it on my PC. (If that!)

Wow, that really sucks I guess that all that stuff isn't technically necessary, but it sure does add something to the viewing experience.

I liked the Malevolence trilogy (kind of a Plo and a Grievous fan and wasn't disappointed by either), and wanna see whats up with these bounty hunters who came in late in the first season.

Yeah, the Malevolence trilogy was great. It's my favourite part of the first season, even.

Well, I finally saw the movie and the whole 1st season... I liked it a lot, and I agree, some episodes were better than the movie (for example the malevolence trilogy). It was better than I expected, really. What I didn't like is I think they did the droids a bit too "human"... or maybe that's just me?
Ohh, and they keep calling Anakin a Jedi Master (not only Ashoka, but all of them), which makes no sense considering in episode 3 there's the issue of the council not giving him the rank of master...
But still, I liked it a lot... I just hope the 2nd seasond is just as good

Even though the droid humour is a bit much sometimes, I liked it. There's more of it in the beginning of the season than later in the season. If you watch the commentary videos at the official site, there is also one that explains about why the droids act the way they do.
'Master' or 'Master Jedi' is a common way to adress any Jedi. Remember, in AotC, Obiwan is called 'Master Jedi' a few times, even though he was still a Knight in rank.
SPOILER: Ahsoka is only calling him Master because he is her master.(highlight to read)
So, the fact that Anakin is called 'Master Skywalker', doesn't mean he is a Master in rank. I understand how this may be confusing, but trust me, it's not a mistake by the production team.

Yeah ok, the droids are pretty humorous, I'll give you that , I'll look into those commentary videos you mention... And about the "Master" thing... now you put it that way I think you're right... it's not exclusive to a Master to be called... "Master" (confusing as it sounds ) But still, almost everyone, even actual masters are calling Anakin that way in TCW, and later in the movies NO ONE calls him that, so even when it might not be inaccurate, it does sound odd (at least to me). That, with the exception you pointed in camouflage which makes perfect sense to me (that's why I mentioned it before...). Personally I would've liked it better if only her called him master

No concrete DVD release date yet, although Wikipedia say Summer 2009.

Last I heard, unconfirmed sources said October/November 2009. Season 2 will start in september, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they waited at least that long. We can only wait and see.

first 4 episodes of season 1 are out on a DVD entitled The Clone Wars : A Galaxy Divided. it has Ambush and the Malevolence Trilogy, and Fall of a Droid as a bonus to boot.
I also enjoyed the Ryloth Trilogy, Rookies, and the season finale. And those commando droids are freaky and very menacing. Bane defines bounty hunter scum.

Yeah, I think the 'Galaxy Divided' DVD doesn't really make sense to release ... everybody wants season 1, not just a few episodes. It's strange to include 'Downfall of a Droid' as a bonus, since it's the first episode of a two parter ('Duel of the Droids' being the second part). They should have included another standalone episode, like 'Rookies'.
But I simply don't see the point of releasing a DVD with just a few episodes. And of course the stupid thing is also only released in the US, as far as I can tell.
